Bible Baptist Church began under the leadership and vision of Pastor Garland Jacobs.

An old store building on Geer Street in Durham served as the first gathering place for the small congregation. They held their first service in April 1959. There were twenty nine believers in the first service.

Three years later, the first building was erected on a five acre piece of property just down the street from the old store building. As God continued to bless the ministry of Bible Baptist Church, yet more space would be needed.

A new sanctuary was built beside the existing buildings, and the first service was held there on March 19, 1970. At this point in the history of Bible Baptist Church the membership had grown to approximately 300 people. The mission of Bible Baptist Church was and is to glorify God and to see men, women, boys and girls come to know Christ as their personal Savior. Bible Baptist Church was established to be an Independent Baptist Church that existed in accordance with the Word of God.

Under the leadership of Sr. Pastor Greg Allison in January 2004 the Church voted to buy 10.96 acres on the corner of I-85 and Gate Number Two Road in Creedmoor, North Carolina in southern Granville county, approximately 10 miles from their previous facility in Durham. This has been a huge step of faith by the Pastor and congregation of Bible Baptist Church.

Construction began on the new facility in the Summer 2005, and the first service was held on Easter Sunday 2006.

Truly God has been good to Bible Baptist Church over the last 60 years. He has blessed us beyond measure. The mission of Bible Baptist Church has stayed consistent throughout its 60 year history. It still exists as a self-supporting, Independent Baptist Church in accordance with the Word of God that presents the Gospel to the lost in order that they might receive Christ as their personal Savior.
